I did try again but it shows that I am still using version 2.1 and not 2.21, which I installed into Applications.
I do have Musescore Pro, but I have noticed that my code name I use is gordt but on my other mac computer, I am signed in as gordtom, which may have been a handle I used in the past. This may be caused some confusion, and I certainly do not want to be paying for Musescore twice.
Can you please help,

You username here or on musescore.com has got nothing to do with what version of MuseScore you have installed on your computers. Just download and install 2.2.1.
But indeed gordt is not a pro user on musescore.com, so just log on as gordtom there (and here in musescore.org too).

Signed in as gordtom, instead of gordt, and then was able to upgrade to version 2.2.1.
