exporting a track as midi file
I have a composition of 30+ tracks and i want to export 9 of these as midi files. If I highlight a track and export it, all of the tracks can be heard. How can I export one track that does not have all the other instruments on it? Looking forward to answers. Thank you.

Generate a part containing the instruments you want to export as one file, them export that part as midi

File > Part
If you mean, you want 9 separate MIDI files - one for each part, then probably you should just generate all parts normaly (File / Parts, then press Generate aka New All). Now you can do visit each part and export it, or do File / Export Parts to get All the MIDI files you could ever want.
