Pizz channel not available
When I try to change Staff Text properties of a "pizz." text, the only channel I have available in the pull-down menu is "normal;" pizzicato is not even an option... I checked the sound font—everything looks standard... Thanks in advance for your advice!

Is it an imported file? Could you attach here your score?

It was indeed imported from an mxml file converted from a PDF of a score. I didn’t realize that this affected the channel settings. Is there a workaround / solution?

Open up the staff/part properties and in the middle there is a
Change Instrument
button. Press it and select the same instrument from the list. This forces MuseScore to reload its definition for this instrument, including the channels defined for it.

Thanks very much, that worked!!
Are you sure it's a string instrument (violin/viola/violoncello/contrabass)? Because non-string instruments won't have the arco/pizzicato/tremolo options and only have "normal", besides some other instruments which have open/mute or other kinds of options.

Yes, this happens with the violin and cello parts.
