Major, Layout Bug - Starting title, Staves are overlap and go through pages.
I am currently running Musescore 3.6.2 on Ubuntu 21.04 using wine. (I'm using wine since the Ubuntu version's audio is extremely glitchy.) When I launch Musescore (3 out of 3 times), the starting score's title and staves are overlapping and going through pages. Other than the starting page, this could also be replicated when you select Choose Instruments, then any instruments. The workaround for this is to choose only a single instrument, which is a great hindrance when trying to compose.

Has MuseScore ever launched correctly?
If yes, have you tried to revert to factory settings?

Unfortunately, no. Out of all the times I've launched musescore, the starting score and "choose instruments" score is always glitched.
Could you share the score as well.
To me it looks as if your page size is tiny as well.

Here is the score. It is just a blank starting score that is glitched.

Same 'issue' on Windows 10 (and MuseScore 3.6.2).
It is due to bogus page settings:

For some reason the above seems to be missing for the OP.
If all you do is open the Page Settings dialog and change units to inches and then back to mm you can reapply the current custom page settings and MuseScore behaves as expected; adding those two tags into the file.
Why don't you use an AppImage of MuseScore under Ubuntu? No need of wine. You can get it in the download section.

As I have mentioned in my post, the application installed using an appimage of MuseScore under Ubuntu has terrible audio. The audio is amplified in disgusting ways and repeats after the playback has ended.

Is the audio working on your computer otherwise? If so, almost certainly whatever issue MuseScore is having can be resolved with a simple setting change, perhaps in Edit / Preferences / I/O, perhaps in your OS. I'd advise you to start a new thread about that. Definitely it should be a better experience all around to be able to run MuseScore as a native Linux application rather than resorting to Wine.
Now, I don't know why but your page is only 88.9 x 127 mm and you have the Right Margin set to 0mm. Change to A4 and 15mm respectively and it looks a whole lot better.
