Converting old development version files to usable files
Hey, a few years ago I made several pieces using a development version of 3.0, which now return the following error when attempting to load them with 3.0:
"Cannot read file [filename+location]: It was last saved with a developer version of 3.0."
Is there a way to convert these files into ones usable with the full 3.0 release, or at least retrieve the scores within them and copy them to a new file?

Maybe it works if you export the score within this development version as musixml.
Once upon a time we kept a nightly build around from the time just before the change was made that is presumably what triggers that message. Maybe someone knows how to get that build now?

At least I've AppImages of development builds from that time still on my system. So @nebulus_, if you attache the scores here we can see if we can rescue them.

Here are the four files I'm looking to recover. They should all be running on the same development build, but it's a pre-3.0 build that I can't seem to find.

Check the attached one.

You can open them with MuseScore 2(.3.2), by ignoring the warning that they stem from a newer version.
Save them with that, then open with MuseScore 3(.6.2)
I found that compatibility version, for Windows, in the downloads folder of my old PC
