Notation popup every time I select marching percussion instrument
Everytime I select the part of one of my marching percussion instruments, and I mean every time, Musescore pops-up with this box. What happened to the old way of having it as a tiny area at the bottom of the app? I can barely see my score with this box. I'm trying to figure out how to get that tiny area back instead of this.

You can go back to the lagecy percussion panel in Preferences->Percussion and select the Use legacy panel option.
At the same, in the dialog you can also change to setting to not show the new panel when you select a staff but only when you start entering notes.
The new panel is far more fefficient, but it looks like is undocked on your system Use "View / Restore the default layout" to fix that, then read the chapter on Percussion in the handbook to learn about all the new improvements here, like single click entry, click directly on staff lines to enter any note, ability to define as many shortcuts as you want, and ability to open and close the panel on demand so you actually don't need to show it at all most of the time.
