Entering 5 patterns
I have read the instructions and either I am not doing something correctly or the software isn't. I am willing to believe it is me. However, in writing a drum part in a 4/4 measure if I use straight 16ths for 1 and 2, but change to a quintuplet for 3 and 4, what is represented on 3 is great. However, what is on four is either 16th notes or a continuation of the 5s but with a continuous bar line across 3 and 4. It should be two groups of quintuplets, not a 10 note figure. Suggestions or links to where I need to learn are requested.
This is a windows 10, 64 bit install.

But got this?
If so, you seem to have modified the 4/4 time sig properties to have beams for 16th and 32nd, see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/time-signatures#change-default-beam…
Check the attached score and the properties of both time sigs, the first one at default settings

That is exactly what I have. I will check these settings and write back either way. Thank you for your quick responses.

In looking at what you have and what I have, I truly do not see a difference.

That's not a quintuplet of 16th in the space of a quarter

Well you have been most helpful. I can break the beam and get the results I want but even on new sheets, I get the same result so somewhere I must have changed the default setting. Can you point me to the correct location to make the change?

I will, however it will be later today. Something has just come up that I need to deal with. Thanks again and I will share later.

Well now that I have gone back into the program and after having done the beam "break" it seems to be fine. Again, thank you for all of your assistance with this. It really had me stumped.
