If it starts playing, that's because your browser or operating system is set up to do that action with that file extension. Google how to change that behaviour to allow you to download files.

thank you for mp3,it works fine. but i still can't export mp3s from my system. Could you inform me how you got it complete the mp3 export.
Also i would like to be a member and help to support this great software. My problem is i's retired and helping my daughter get on her feet.it can't afford the 60+ dollars a month. i'm not a teacher or a professional professional. Was wonder if you have plans in the $20 range?

Don 't confuse the Pro account on musescore.com whit the MuseScore software and the forums here on musescore.org...
I can confirm the crash in the current (4.0.2) release as well as current nightly builds of what will become 4.1. Please open an issue on GitHub reporting this, and attach your score there (zip it first so GitHub will accept it).

I guess maybe it's Linux only? Crash reports an error in malloc, suggesting maybe corrupted memory, which will indeed tend to be system-dependent.

Looking at it there is not many changes from Sunday to Wednesday (the day it stopped).

i'm going to use the old one and make the same changes and see what happens.

It's planned for July. So I definitely recommend submitting the bug report ASAP so it can be looked at and fixed before then.
