Can I change time

• Feb 14, 2019 - 10:23

I have done an arrangement for recorders of a piece of Mozart in 4/8 which is andante. We are having problems playing it and I think we would be better off with 4/4 so every quaver needs to be changed to a crochet, every crochet to a minim etc. We seem to panic when we see semiquavers. It seems very odd playing andante in quavers.

Is there any way to do this without reinputting every note. I used a midi file in the first place.

Thanks

I haven't ported to 3 yet either!!!

I have managed to do to it. Great thanks. The results are interesting, A few bars with five beats!!! And several where the notes have turned up too soon. But certainly a lot better than the whole input bit, Seems to do one part at a time best.
The group I play with have managed to get me playing in Minims so we now should learn to cope with Quavers.
However I have now done the first part, so they can get the rhythm.
Big thank you.

It took me about 20 minutes and some of that was a learning curve, It would have been a couple of boring hours of inputting. It is reasonably easy to hear where things have slipped a bit and adjust them. It seems to have all the notes, but not necessarily in the right place, so needs a bit of copy and pastings.
It is rather odd when I asked it to do all six parts it did two, but when I asked for two it only did one.
