What version exactly, what operating system, which score?
Tried reverting MuseScore to factory settings

Starter system is not an Operating system.

MuseScore 3.0.0 and above, Startup System. Not about score.

If that doesn't help try the -w option or start MuseScore via double click onto a score file. If that helps disable the startcenter in Edit > Preferences

Did it ever work? If so, when did it stop, what had been changed prior to that?
